Getting Hither and Yawn
Access to Vashon-Maury Island is by Ferry boat, a delightful
1015 minute ride. Regularly scheduled service is provided by the Washington State
Ferry System with mainland loading taking place at
Fauntleroy in West Seattle
Point Defiance in Tacoma
Southworth on the Olympic Peninsula
The ferries will accommodate cars, trucks, campers, bicycles,
motorcycles, walk-ons and, yes, even Metro Buses. In two instances, a Metro bus can get
you to within two blocks of two of our cottages, and a leisurely meander from the
others. For some of you, private boat may be the best means of access to your get-away
cottage. For you, our Edson House cottage is located directly across from both the
Quartermaster Marina, (206) 463-3624, and the Quartermaster Yacht Club, (206) 463-9957
please call ahead and ask them about their guest docking privileges.
