Check-in is after 4 p.m. If you will be later than 7 p.m., you must
notify us so someone will be available to help you. Please Check-out by 1pm. Exceptions
are only by prior arrangement.
To confirm your reservation we require a deposit for the total cost
of your visit. Your deposit assures us that the cottage is secured and insures that you
will have the cottage of your choice on the dates you request. Changing a reservation will
incur a $10 handling fee and requires a minimum 21 day advance notice.
Reservations once made are not cancelable. If you discover you cannot
use the time you reserved please notify us. If we can rent your time we will credit
your account with what we can receive for it, less a $20.00 service fee.
For purposes of this section, all of our rates ar hereby raised by 5% and a discount of 5% is given for payment by cash or check.
In the past our policy was clear and simply stated as:
"Personal checks or cash is preferred.
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover cards may be used,
however, there is a 5% charge for this service"
This semantic change comes to you courtesy of the the VISA/MC folks. The same folks that have taken billions of your tax dollars and charge you outrageous fees...YES. CREDIT CARDS DO COST US ALL MONEY ...AND THEY THINK THAT WE ARE ALL SO STUPID THAT WE DON'T KNOW IT.
.CLEANING/DAMAGE For Edson House
A $100 deposit is required whenever the whole house is used by a
group. If there is any cleaning to be done it's taken out of this deposit. The cleaning
person charges $12/hr.
